LIFE OF A BLOGGER: School

Life Of A Blogger is hosted by Jessi from Novel Heartbeat where we let people know more about our lives outside of blogging so they can get to know us better!

Hello! My name is Jenivieve or Jayvee or Jen or Vee, whatever. Since I wasn't able to post last week, I decide to do two entries for this today, but this one will be published earlier! Imma be talking about school!

I have been into countless schools for the past four years (I'm talking about college here). I have been to three schools. 1st was De La Salle Lipa where I took Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I decided to leave school due to financial constraints and go to a more affordable school. I went to New Era University. I enjoyed my stay there, but I just decided that nursing was not for me.. and also because our finances weren't really doing well. I needed to find myself and what I wanted in life. I decided to take a whole semester off and think about everything.

WHY DID I EVEN? HAHA

(This post is my feelings. Don't try to make it big of an issue. I love my professors. Just in reality, work is.. well, work...)

You might be aware of the program I'm taking up right now, if not, LET ME REPEAT IT AGAIN! I'm taking up Bachelor of Science in Development Communication. And I truly ask of you, not to ask me to define it to you! Just go search it on Google! HAHAHA! SASS!

I now regret taking up too many courses within the program for this semester. We're taking up film class, which requires making a 10-15 min film, Radio and TV class with the documentary, a radio forum, an IBS and School-On-Air, a paper for Strategic Communication, MEDIA INTERNSHIP at a Community Newspaper and a few more requirements for Development Writing class...

One thing I'm thankful for: I didn't take thesis classes. OR ELSE! I'll probably die! I'm not really a multi-tasker. I just believe I am. I have time management issues too. IN OTHER WORDS, I AM A LAZY BUM! HAHAHA!

The Angst/Joy of a College Student Going Through... Viewing of Grades..

It's been a while since I've done this Angst and Joy episode. I mean, I've only done it once but it seemed too much if I didn't do it at an appropriate time. So today's episode is going to focus on both Angst and Joy since we are gonna talk about, yup! Grades.

Now for sure any college student's either pissed or jumping for bliss once they see/saw their grades... I for one am part of this huge spectrum. Okay, let me start...

Le Angst!

So college mongrels, how were you're grades? Did you cry over them? Did you want to rip off that piece of evidence that you almost failed a subject, apart? Yeah, I feel yah brother. And as much as I would like to think that being in college is much different than when we were in high school, I can't help it dudes, I'm sorry.

I put some heart and soul into my studies over the course of the semester, but why is it that my grades were in the verge of giving any genius a heart attack? I didn't fail though guys. Phew. But coming from decent grades before, I sincerely feel bad for the grades I received this term. I don't want to blame the teachers at all because I know that I had my cracks to fill, but then again, I end up worrying about my distant future.

The Angst of A College Student Going Through...

The Start of The School Year. Yeah, college mongrels! We are back to that particular time when getting a tan and hanging out for bowling is totally out of the picture. Yes! Classes are back. Time to make ourselves suffer by getting good to great grades and making our wonderful parents proud.

But I’m not entirely exultant by the coming ringing of school bells. I feel dejected. The summer, was never my friend. Yeah, I indulged myself in movies. Yeah, I made a fool of myself by singing with a perfume bottle with one hand to consume time. But it’s as if I’ve completely lost a sort of touch by the summer heat. I have become a total shut-in.

I admit to always staying indoors. That is my fault and I completely rest my case but nothing came up while I was waiting for phone calls or great opportunities to go swim or go out of the country.

It’s not that I hate school. The problem is I still don’t feel like going back yet. And whenever I watch Phineas and Ferb on Disney Asia, I would feel more dejected especially coz of that opening theme:

“There’s a 104 days of summer vacation,

and school comes along just to end it.

So the annual problem for our generation,

is finding a good way to spend it. Like maybe…”
