Upcoming Books With TO DIE FOR Covers

Hi there Misfit Booknerds! As a motto for some, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." and yes, it does feel a tad wicked to judge a beauty of a book by just its outer appearance. However, book covers are becoming more diverse and inclined to showing beautiful colors and even textures, with typography that catches one's aesthetic.

Gorgeous book covers have now become a trend. (We'll get to naked hardcovers next time. *winks*)

Cover Reveal: My Lea by E. Mellyberry

Title: My Lea (A Broken Love Story #1)
Author: E. Mellyberry
Expected publication date: November 2014

THANKS TO GISELLE OF XPRESSO BOOK TOURS!

SYNOPSIS:

A simple girl.

A broken guy.

One horrible incident.

When Lea Amelia landed her feet in San Francisco for her overseas study, her idea of freedom was simple, like eating junk food ten times a day, sitting in front of the TV in her PJs, or going out late with her friends without the need to check in with her mother constantly.

Then she met Andrew Jaya, her brothers’ best friend. A twenty-two-year-old guy whose physical appearance looked like he was crafted straight from God’s heavenly hands, but possessed a past as bleak as if it was drawn by Evil himself. A conflicted guy who wore sadness like nobody’s business beneath his mask, a perfect-looking mask she slowly peeled away.

He was also the guy who hurt her.

Suddenly, everything about her was no longer simple.

Andrew Jaya had convinced himself that not feeling was good for him. He’d been doing it splendidly for almost his entire life. But that was before his best friend’s sister stepped into his life and ruined it. After weeks of knowing Lea, all of those warm and wonderful feelings he’d long ago denied to himself started to reappear. Problem was, the brighter the light, the bigger the shadows that came with it.

His traumatic past refused to let him go.

When the unthinkable happened, the easiest thing to do was to run. But life often proves that the easiest way is usually the hardest.

Cover Reveal: Conspiracy Girl by Sarah J. Alderson

Well, with problems of blogging that came along in my life, I still want to promote this book because it looks amazing and I'm a Hunting Lila fan, so let's see the newest addition to Sarah J. Alderson's arsenal of awesome books!

Here's a sneak peek of the book! WOOO!

Finn is sitting at a swivel chair in front of them. One hand taps commands on a keyboard, while the other is sticking a spoon into a jar of something that sits wedged between his thighs. With a sharp pang of betrayal I see Goz is lying at his feet. Finn holds out the spoon laden with what looks like peanut butter and Goz snarfs it down.

Anger propels me to my feet. Just the sight of Finn feeding my dog makes me want to hurl something at him. I march towards them.

Finn looks up and smiles. ‘Morning,’ he says, before reaching to pat Goz on the head.
I glare at my dog who ignores me, too busy trying to lick the spoon clean of every trace of Skippy.

‘You’re feeding him peanut butter?’ I ask.
Finn looks at the jar and then at the spoon which Goz is in danger of swallowing whole. He shrugs. ‘Yeah, he likes it.’ He holds the jar out to me. ‘Want some?’ he asks.

TOP TEN TUESDAY: Ten Book Cover Trends I Like or Dislike

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where, each week, a Top Ten list is posted based on a particular topic.

This week, I'm going to be sharing with you some book cover trends that I have noticed for quite a while now, and either liked or disliked, may it be middle grade, YA or NA books. Opinions will definitely be taken while this happens! Check em out!

1. Blue! Blue is everywhere!
I've noticed that a lot of books have splashes of blue in them! And I really love them! They are just refreshing.
