ALL #TFIOSMovie, Well For Now That Is

This isn't much of a sneak peek anymore, isn't it? The purpose of this has been diminished to the purpose of just posting it, but I can't help it. I'm a fangirl!  Now I know basically all of you has seen everything of The Fault In Our Stars as it is set yo hit theaters this June but I would still love to bring you as much feels possible.

AND YES JOHN, YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!

The Trailer:
You probably ain't human if you didn't cry at least one tear for the trailer. What I love about is is how true to the book the producers and the writers, Scott Neustader and Michael H. Weber, had made it. Though we may end up with a few differences from the book of course, I still believe that from the trailer, the movie will be as promising as the book.

Miss Peregrine Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs (2011)

In celebration of the event this April 26, I'll do a review on both of Ransom Riggs' books! YAAAAY! But First off, is his debut novel.

Title: Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children
Author: Ransom Riggs
Publication: Quirk Books, 2011
Format: Trade Paperback, 352 pages
Source: Own Copy bought from NBS
_______________________________________________
Synopsis:

A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs.

It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

I think that I have been bored for a while and completely forgot that I actually have a When Bored I, segment thing on my blog and it is actually one of my favorites and I'm so glad that I am bored enough to post one of the things I do when I'm bored.

Getting the dish out on latest news and topics with some sort of twist has been something I've completely fell in love with with going on Buzzfeed! And when there is nothing to do, and you've zapped out the life on other things, going on Buzzfeed has definitely shown it's way of bringing me joys that make my day complete!

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist by David Levithan (2006)

Misfit's Review:

I absolutely loved this book! Hands down to David Levithan and Rachel Cohn for a wonderful collaboration of another HE SAID/ SHE SAID type of novel. I like it when characters have their own perspectives in a book or a point of view for those who understand that better. It gives us a better sense of the characters' selves,  the background of their lives, why they turned out like that.

What's wonderful about the way they wrote each point of view, is that their back stories are glimpsed, but is enough to give the readers a sense of kinship. And it is just a 183 page novel! I think for something so short, it delivered well.

Now let's talk characters. Nick is the awkward, lanky guy, who plays bass and is trying to avoid his ex-girlfriend because he's ultra- sensitive and wants to move on but has a hard time doing it. He's adorable! I dunno. At first, you'd find it annoying that he's actually so obsessed with the thought of his ex but then you'd understand afterwards and you'd cheer him on anyway when it came to Norah.

Then, there's Norah. The cute, slap in your face, insensitive chick, who just wants to be loved like most people, but is afraid that the relationship she might enter again, may lead to her once failed relationship. I really love Norah and her wild imagination and how she really wants to have a good relationship with Nick.

One thing that concerned me about the book is the language. Though the writing style is something I commend, censorship for kids who may have had the time to grab this from a bookshelf, may be necessary. I don't really mind the use of curse words that may have dominated an entire page, lets say, page 95???

But in all goodness of writing and story wise, NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLIST, is the one of the most, fun, well-rounded books I've read. Decent? I'm old enough to take it...

Warning: Children of the universe, you may wanna consider finding another YA to read, unless you're 15 or 18, you're good.

My Love Letter Realized

One fine day, almost a year ago, I posted a love letter here in my blog. I was proud, of it that I shared it to the person I dedicated it to! I tweeted him about it, once, never got a reply but I'm fine with that. But last April 3, 2014, I had my love letter realized. Well, not exactly you know, but I got to meet the person whom I dedicated it to, Abed Nadir of NBC's Community. Yes, Danny Pudi himself.

So let me make a backtrack of how exactly I got the chance to meet him face to face!
