TOP TEN AWESOME AND BADASS GIRLS ON BOOKS

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where, each week, a Top Ten list is posted based on a particular topic.

My first top ten list was such a success, and I thank those who have commented! I appreciated the small number of you and you have no idea how much it means to me!

Anyway, this week's TOP TEN topic is a freebie! BOOYEAH!! I have so many things in mind *chugs in thinking juice* But I worry that someone might have done this already. Oh well!  Let's pump it!

1. Lisbeth Salander from The Millenium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson
If you don't know who Lisbeth Salander is, you must be living 20,000 feet under the sea and I feel sorry for you because you will love her. She's so badass with her clothing, her look, just everything. Plus she's a hacker, super smart and just, UGH! You should understand that I may have fallen in love with her awesomeness! And she's less than 5 feet! If pushing an ax into your notorious dad ain't a sign of badass-ness, then I don't know what is. Add the tattoos and piercings? Nuff said.

2. Hermione Granger from The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Yeah, Hermione may be a total softie, but she is one badass girl too! If you need to be at two classes at a time, she can help you with that. If you need to make a Polyjuice potion without the professors knowing, consult Hermione for it and if you just need an awesome friend to be there for you all the time, then yes, Hermione Granger is your girl! She is willing to sacrifice herself for her family, friends and her school. To top it all off, Malfoy just had it coming with that punch, yeah?

3. Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
There is no denying the utter fact that The Girl on Fire is soooooo badass especially with the bow and arrow and those hunting skills. What I also love about Katniss is that she's grumpy. I don't know, I just love the fact that she doesn't get along with a lot of people, which made the book so much more intriguing and gripping. But she's really sensitive and is scared too but who wouldn't be? But applause for Katniss for still being badass and waging war against The Capitol!

4. Margo Roth Spiegelman from Paper Towns by John Green
If you find a chick dressed in a ninja costume or just trying to look like a ninja, then pretty much you know that Margo Roth Spiegelman is the bomb!!! Margo is so badass in her own way because she just doesn't want to be found, in a more location related way. You have to give her plus points for leaving unnecessary clues, which weren't really clues to find her. Q was just too observant. Anyway, Margo is a total badass in my opinion and no one can ruin that!

5. Emma Bloom from Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
Who wants to get burned? Anyone? Well, if you end up as a threat to her, she won't hesitate to burn you off!  Equipped with peculiar abilities to spew fire out of her hands, Emma can be a total badass when it comes to combat and being very, very intimidating! She's sensitive but would whoop your behind if you went out and hurt anyone in the peculiar family. Plus, she rocks the short hair magnificently!

Can't really find a more suitable photo.. Errr, and she's supposed to be blonde.

6. Violet Baudelaire from The Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket
Now I know she's in a more younger category, but Violet has proven to be badass in her own ways. How can you keep your siblings in check after a huge tragedy? Violet seems to have that all figured out. Not only is she completely caring towards her siblings, she's also really good at inventing things out of ordinary stuff. With her smart mind, she is able to whip up a tool to help them in sticky situations or in context, Count Olaf. They've been in so many dangerous situations, heck it spanned 13 books. And it all shows how awesome and completely badass Violet is.

7. Johanna Mason from The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
Uhm, she's like one of the epitomes of badass-ness! Have you seen her work that ax? And not only that she's relentless in her words and actions. She's just a dream to read that I root for her and wish she was safe when I was reading Mockingjay. I don't think I have any more words for her honestly. She's just too awesome! If they make like a spin-off, I want it to be about her times at the arena. Heck I want them to make spin-offs of all the victors!

8. Tris Prior from the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth
To die for the one you love? That's noble but not exactly awesome coz the whole fandom wept crazy. Tris is Divergent, as most of us know already for sure. And she had no idea at the beginning. I guess Divergents are pretty confused kinds because they never know what factions they really are but being Divergent does make you badass. If only there were like super powers. Like, AMITY can grow flowers and trees. WHOA! Too much thinking juice! Anyway, with all the Dauntless tests and stuff that's happened, I guess you all know that Tris can pack a wild punch, slash you with knives and rain down bullets on you. Yeah, Tris is one badass Divergent.

9. Aria from Under The Never Sky Trilogy by Veronica Rossi
She's pretty awesome, pretty and a tad awesome but when I think that she's badass probably because she adapts fast and learns fast as well. Not only that, she knows how to handle herself with the boys! KYAAAA! But she's a bit whiny at the beginning isn't she? But some badasses are like that. We just gotta understand.

10. Juliette Ferrars from The Juliette Chronicles/The Shatter Me Trilogy by Tahereh Mafi
Badass-ness comes from her hands, those lethal hands of infinite power. If I had that skill, I would totally get rid of corrupt politicians *wishing*. Juliette is a little frustarting sometimes in the novel. Probably due to the feels between Adam and Warner. Oh girl, you so awesome getting two boys fawning over you. But the moment where I totally appreciated Juliette's awesomeness and badass-ness fully was the time they went to confront Anderson . Please read Unravel to get the reference. Just ugh!!! Evil Juliette with no feelings is sooooo totally badass!!!
